Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work flexible regional primary care sessions across Whitchurch. You will deliver autonomous ANP-led clinics with complete clinical autonomy within established GP and community services.

In this role you will manage acute and minor illness presentations, perform triage by phone and in person, and prescribe within your scope. DBS clearance is required, and ad-hoc or regular bookings offer flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification is required.
• Independent Prescribing (V300) is required.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills are essential.
• Confidence working autonomously in new environments is important.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations.
• Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence.
• Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions.
• Recording accurate clinical notes within the clinic's digital systems.
