Job summary

The Killingholme Surgery is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our small GP team in North Lincolnshire. The role covers acute and long‑term conditions, chronic disease management, QOF, vaccinations and wound care, with autonomy and decision‑making within your scope.

You will work closely with the GP and practice staff, independently managing your workload, clinical reviews, investigations and follow‑ups, while maintaining patient safety and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration with practising nurse status.
• Recognised Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification.
• Independent prescribing qualification.
• Experience in primary care and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Experience in chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, COPD and hypertension).
• Experience with QOF recalls, audits and patient reviews.
• Competent in vaccinations, venepuncture and cervical screening.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage acute illnesses, minor injuries and ongoing health conditions.
• Prescribe as an independent prescriber within competence and scope of practice.
• Manage chronic disease reviews and QOF recalls.
• Provide vaccinations, injections, venepuncture and wound care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure follow‑up.
• Work with GP and practice team, escalating concerns when needed.
• Engage in audits, governance and service improvement.
