Job summary

CAD-IT Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an Automotive Technical Author to turn hands-on diagnostic and vehicle systems experience into clear, user-friendly technical content.

You'll work with Aftersales and engineering to deliver accurate manuals, illustrations, and service communications, using CAD and authoring tools. Training is provided, and a collaborative team environment supports professional growth and problem-solving across upcoming vehicle programmes.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive system knowledge and hands-on experience is essential.
• Experience with CAD and authoring software is desirable; training can be provided.
• Good IT literacy with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; XML/HTML experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Create technical information to support vehicles in Aftersales.
• Plan, manage and deliver projects against a project plan on time and to a high standard.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to gather technical information and author content.
• Use CAD for content creation and illustrations.
• Update content to reflect engineering changes and feedback.
• Coordinate validations of authored content when required and ensure proper sign-off.
