Job summary

Baylis Vauxhall Ross on Wye is offering an IMI Apprenticeship – Level 2 with progression to Level 3 as a Service Technician. This paid programme combines employer work with relevant IMI training for hands-on servicing, fault-finding, and vehicle inspections.

You will work 40 hours per week, with block-release training at The Performance Academy in Coventry. Eligibility includes 16+ and GCSE/National 5 in Maths and English, with willingness to travel for training.

Qualifications

• GCSEs/National 5 in Maths & English required or predicted
• Aged 16+ and eligible to undertake an apprenticeship
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home for training

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with routine servicing and inspections
• Support fault-finding using diagnostic tools
• Learn to repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
• Follow health and safety procedures in the workshop
• Record work, parts used and service activity accurately
• Attend IMI training and assessments
• Work as part of a team to maintain high workmanship and customer satisfaction
