Thurlow Nunn Holt is offering an IMI Apprenticeship – Level 2 with progression to Level 3 for an aspiring Service Technician. Start with Autocare Level 2 and advance to Level 3 after successful completion, combining paid work with IMI training.

The role focuses on servicing, fault-finding, and vehicle inspections, with block training at The Performance Academy, Coventry. You’ll gain hands-on experience and a clear route to becoming a qualified technician.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/4 or better required.
• Aged 16 or older with interest in vehicle servicing and repair.
• Able to travel and stay away from home for training.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in routine servicing, inspections and maintenance.
• Support fault-finding using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Learn to repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Follow health and safety procedures in the workshop.
• Record work completed, parts used and service activity.
• Attend IMI training and assessments.
• Work as part of a team to maintain high workmanship and customer satisfaction.
