Job summary

Baylis Vauxhall Cirencester is recruiting for an IMI Apprenticeship – Level 2 with progression to Level 3 as a Service Technician. The role combines paid employment with national IMI training, delivering hands-on experience in servicing, fault-finding and vehicle inspections.

Entry is open to ages 16+, with GCSE/National 5 Maths and English and a valid driving licence recommended. The programme includes block release training at The Performance Academy Coventry.

Qualifications

• GCSE/National 5 Maths and English at A-C (9-4) or equivalent.
• Strong interest in vehicle servicing and repair.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in routine servicing and maintenance.
• Support fault-finding using diagnostic tools.
• Learn to repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Follow health and safety procedures in the workshop.
• Record work, parts used and service activity accurately.
• Attend IMI training and assessments.
• Work as part of a team to maintain high workmanship standards.
