Job summary

Vertu Peugeot Northampton is offering an IMI Apprenticeship starting at Level 2 with progression to Level 3 for a Service Technician. The program blends paid employment with IMI training to build hands-on skills in servicing, fault-finding, and vehicle inspections at a dealership in Northampton.

Starting at 16+ with GCSEs/National 5 in Maths and English, you will train on site with block release at times, traveling for training.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in vehicle servicing and repair.
• Predicted GCSEs/National 5 acceptable if final results meet requirements.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home for training.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance tasks
• Support fault-finding using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Learn to repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
• Follow health and safety procedures and work safely in the workshop
• Record work completed, parts used, and service activity accurately
• Attend all required IMI training and assessments
• Work as part of a team to ensure high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
