ACS Automotive Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Service Manager for a franchised dealership in Gillingham. You will lead the service reception team, support the Aftersales Manager, and drive customer satisfaction while achieving performance targets.

The role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to organise workloads in a busy, customer-facing environment. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a busy service reception team.
• Strong focus on delivering excellent customer care.
• Experience in automotive service processes and warranty procedures is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day service reception operations and deputise for Aftersales Manager.
• Motivate and support Service Advisors to deliver quality customer care.
• Oversee bookings, updates and handovers; explain additional work with cost estimates.
• Monitor work in progress, invoicing and administration to keep jobs moving.
• Coordinate courtesy vehicles and liaise with workshop colleagues.
• Improve customer retention, department efficiency and profitability.
