Job summary

Paul Rigby Ltd in Stafford is seeking a friendly Service Advisor to be the primary contact for customers bringing vehicles in for service and repair. You will manage bookings, communicate estimates and progress, and coordinate with technicians to ensure a reliable, customer-focused service.

You should have prior customer-facing experience, strong communication and organisational skills, and basic numeracy. A full UK driving licence is typically expected.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role in automotive/service preferred.
• Clear communication of technical matters to customers.
• Ability to manage multiple bookings and prioritise.
• Experience with invoicing or payments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and record vehicle information and service needs.
• Schedule bookings and manage the workshop diary to optimise capacity.
• Provide clear estimates and explain recommended work.
• Keep customers informed of progress and changes to timeframes or costs.
• Liaise with technicians for updates and prioritise work.
• Process paperwork, job cards and invoices per procedures.
• Handle enquiries and resolve routine issues; escalate when needed.
• Support a safe, tidy workshop environment and follow safety rules.
