Job summary

Paul Rigby Ltd in Birmingham, West Midlands, is seeking a friendly and organised Parts Advisor to support technicians, sales teams and customers by providing the right parts and information promptly.

You will manage parts enquiries and orders, keep stock records accurate, interpret parts catalogues, and liaise with suppliers to chase deliveries, contributing to efficient workshop performance and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a parts, workshop or automotive retail environment.
• Ability to interpret parts catalogues or technical references.
• Strong customer service with clear communication.
• Accurate data entry and basic numeracy for pricing.
• Organisational skills and prioritisation in a busy environment.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage parts enquiries from customers, workshop staff and suppliers.
• Identify required parts using manuals and catalogues.
• Process orders, manage stock levels and reorders.
• Prepare parts for collection or dispatch with documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers to chase deliveries and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, organised parts storage and inventory records.
• Advise on part compatibility, pricing and lead times.
• Support sales with aftermarket parts enquiries and upselling when appropriate.
