Job summary

G&P Group in Woking is seeking an Automotive Quality Technician to join our Quality Management team on-site. You will support containment, investigations, and the creation of clear Work Instructions, SOPs and test plans to prevent recurring issues.

In a fast-paced production environment you’ll interact with customers and suppliers, use SAP for quality records, and help drive improvements that keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quality Technician/ Engineer, Senior Quality Inspector or similar.
• Strong background in quality containment and problem resolution in manufacturing.
• Skilled in writing clear, accurate Work Instructions, WES's, SOP's, Test Plans or method statements.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings; basic measuring skills.
• A reliable team player with great attention to detail and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Quality Technician in managing customer quality concerns and containment activities across manufacturing operations
• Respond to quality concerns quickly and effectively, including supporting Level Zero investigations and determining immediate containment actions
• Attend production and warehouse areas to assess issues, identify root causes, and support resolution activities
• Create and maintain clear Work Instructions and Test to support inspection and quality activities
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure quality concerns are communicated and resolved efficiently
• Use internal systems and SAP to accurately record, track, and manage quality activities and project information
• Support containment, sorting, and corrective action activities to minimise disruption to production
• Ensure all activities are completed in line with customer requirements, quality standards, and operational procedures
• Promote clear communication across teams and provide updates to supervisors, customers, and support functions where required

We are seeking an Automotive Quality Technician to join our dedicated Quality Management team at G&P. This role supports a prestigious British high-performance automotive manufacturer and is based on-site in Woking.

In this fast-paced production environment, you’ll work closely with the Plant Coordinator to support and resolve quality concerns on the shopfloor. You’ll carry out Level Zero investigations, identify issues at source, implement containment actions, and support corrective solutions to keep production running smoothly.

Working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, you’ll also create detailed Work Instructions/ SOP's, WES's/ Test Plans, conduct FMEA risk assessments, and help implement improvements that prevent recurring quality issues.

Working hours:

• Monday - Friday: 06:00am - 14:00pm

Flexibility may occasionally be required to support overtime at the end of shifts.

The ideal Automotive Quality Technician will have:

• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings; basic measuring skills

Nice to have, but not essential:

• SAP knowledge.
• Knowledge of FMEA and process risk assessments
• Relevant quality or manufacturing qualifications.
