G&P Quality Management Ltd is seeking a Production Team Leader at our state-of-the-art automotive facility in the UK. You will lead and coach a team of quality inspectors (5-10 across peak times) and coordinate hour-to-hour projects with related G&P areas.

The role offers a temp-to-perm path after 12 weeks, with overtime and shift patterns described. You’ll work under the Shift Manager and contribute to delivering high-quality vehicles through strong leadership and quality processes.

Qualifikationen

We are seeking a Production Team Leader to join our dedicated quality management team onsite at a state-of-the-art automotive production facility, where advanced engineering and precision manufacturing combine with British heritage to deliver iconic, high-quality premium cars.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Production Team Leader, will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of between 5 - 10 quality inspectors, which can increase during peak times.

You will work alongside management to successfully organise and lead the hour-to-hour function of designated projects within associated G&P areas.

Working hours are as follows:

• AM Shift: 06:00am - 17:00pm
• PM Shift: 15:30pm - 02:00am

Shifts rotate on a fortnightly basis / Monday - Friday.

Please note that during periods of increased customer demand, additional overtime may be required. When overtime is in operation, employees on the AM shift may be required to start 30 minutes earlier, while employees on the PM shift may be required to finish 30 minutes later.

Weekend overtime may also be available during peak periods.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading and coaching a team of quality professionals
• Reviewing handover from previous shift and assigning tasks to the Quality Inspectors and Storemen in accordance.
• Ensuring all quality inspectors have the relevant tooling, material flow, PPE and understanding to work to the required Test Plan / WES.
• Controlling all NOK parts found during the project, ensuring the packaging and stacking of parts are correct.
• Working alongside the area supervisor to identify and promptly resolve issues, with minimal or no effect to production.
• Leading from the front by carrying out inspection duties alongside the team as and when required.

The ideal production team leader will have the following experience:

• Proven leadership skills ideally gained within a similar environment such as production, manufacturing, logistics, engineering or quality inspection.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to resolve issues promptly, within a professional manner.
• Organised, resilient, with the ability to think outside the box.

Nice to have experience, but not essential:

• Knowledge of writing work instructions

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the successful candidate initially joining on a temporary contract and moving into a permanent position after 12 weeks, subject to satisfactory performance, attendance, and business requirements. Progression opportunities are available. Candidates must have the independent right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.
