Job summary

GSF Car Parts is seeking a Retail Assistant to deliver excellent customer service and contribute to branch targets. You will assist in face-to-face sales, service click and collect orders, and build sound customer relationships.

The role requires a customer-focused approach, strong communication, and the ability to work as part of a team. Working hours include 45 hours per week with alternate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service or sales/retail experience in a customer-facing role.
• Target driven and motivated to achieve results.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Positive approach to customer queries with proactive resolutions.
• Confident with IT and computer systems.
• Ability to work well with others and show teamwork.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of car parts or automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve trade and retail customers for click and collect and general orders while maximising sales.
• Pick relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders.
• Assist the sales team with product promotions by answering queries.
• Fully satisfy customer needs for part orders, returns or queries.
• Check returns for resale, warranty or surcharge.
• Contribute to a positive team performance and personal sales benchmarks.
• Use the E-learning portal to develop product knowledge and performance.
• Keep customer-facing areas clean and tidy.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and understand garage needs.
• Promote a professional image and company values.
• Work towards achievement of relevant KPIs.
