Job summary

Staffbase Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading automotive components manufacturer. The role focuses on designing and developing mechanical components from concept to production, using SolidWorks or Inventor to create 3D models and drawings, and managing BOMs and design data.

You will interpret customer specifications, assess materials and processes, and validate designs through testing to meet performance and reliability targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of automotive mechanical components from concept through production.
• Interpret customer specifications and define design parameters.
• Develop detailed specifications considering materials, performance, cost, and efficiency.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and BOMs.
• Validate design through analysis, testing, and reliability targets.
