Job summary

Pembrook Resourcing LTD is recruiting an Assistant Service Manager for an established automotive dealership in Gillingham. This role involves supporting the Aftersales Manager and leading the Front of House team to maintain excellent customer service, while driving departmental performance.

The package includes a £35,000 base salary, circa £45,000 OTE, a company vehicle, and a Monday–Friday schedule with 1 in 4 Saturdays and a day off in lieu. 30 days holiday and other benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive service or aftersales advisory roles.
• Strong understanding of dealership service department processes.
• Experience supervising a team or providing leadership.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Confidence handling customer complaints.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the Front of House team within the service department.
• Support day-to-day running of the service department.
• Oversee bookings, customer updates and vehicle handovers.
• Ensure additional work identified through vehicle health checks is communicated.
• Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally.
• Support management of courtesy vehicles, quotations, invoices and work in progress.
• Collaborate with Sales and Service colleagues to drive customer retention.
• Support overall departmental performance and GDPR compliance.
