Job summary

Silcom Recruitment is working with an established automotive business in Southampton to appoint a Customer Operations Account Manager. This is a customer-focused operational role, not a sales position.

You will manage key accounts, oversee vehicle logistics from port to delivery, coordinate with sales, operations, transport and finance, and provide weekly updates and reviews. Proficiency in CRM/ERP and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, account management, logistics, or operational coordination is essential.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts, acting as their main point of contact.
• Oversee the complete vehicle logistics process, from port arrival and vehicle preparation through to final delivery.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, transport, and finance teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Monitor customer orders, resolve operational issues, and ensure agreed service levels and deadlines are achieved.
• Provide regular customer updates, weekly performance reports, and account review meetings.
• Maintain accurate customer records and operational information using CRM and ERP systems.
