Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Customer Service Manager for a South Wales facility, overseeing on-site logistics, production planning and inventory control. The role requires strong Lean mindset and 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, with automotive exposure preferred.

You will drive improvements, manage customer relationships and ensure service excellence in a dynamic environment. The position offers a £60,000–£65,000 salary with a 10% bonus, pension, and 25 days of holiday plus bank

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience at managerial level within the manufacturing industry.
• Automotive experience would be desirable.
• Experience in project management would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of LEAN principles, waste analysis, 5S, KANBAN, VSM, etc.

Responsibilities

• The Customer Service Manager is the key customer contact in the branch to ensure customer intimacy and satisfaction. This role is accountable for all operational inbound & outbound logistics processes in the branch, inventory accuracy, and for the creation of the production plan.
• Establish and develop relationship with demand related contacts of key customers including proactively visiting the customer.
• Follow up on significant demand changes with customer contacts to improve our business intelligence.
• Follow-up and drive resolution of disputes on sales orders / deliveries / replacements to guarantee the best possible service level.
• Identify planned SMOI (slow moving items) impacts, update input form for Raw Material SMOI, review form for Inventory / DIO updates.
• Accountable for production planning and warehouse management and inventory policies & accuracy in product lifecycle until EOP.
• Manage material management from ordering, receiving, line supply and shipping with ensuring compliance to logistics protocol.
