Overview

As Automation Support Lead, you will oversee the development, maintenance and support of automation systems across the business, ensuring their reliability, availability, security, and performance. You will lead a dedicated support team, acting as the escalation point for critical issues while driving innovation through new automation and low-code solutions. By working collaboratively with business users and IT colleagues, you'll ensure automation solutions are designed, tested and deployed effectively to meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the performance of the Automation Support team, ensuring SLA and KPI targets are achieved.
  • Leading the design, development, and release of new automation and low-code small works.
  • Maintaining existing automations by resolving Incidents and Problem Records within agreed SLAs.
  • Acting as the escalation point for the team and collaborating with business users to define robust solutions.
  • Testing and debugging automation systems to ensure smooth deployment and ongoing performance.
  • Writing and updating system documentation, as well as providing user training where required.
  • Performing routine maintenance and system checks to ensure systems remain secure and performant.
  • Identifying new opportunities for automation and driving continuous service improvement.
  • Scheduling and planning incoming project deliverables, managing them to completion.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent relevant industry experience).
  • Proven experience in automation engineering, including designing and implementing automated systems.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, hardware operations, and automation technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Intelligent Automation and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Proven development experience in low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and UiPath.
  • Experience integrating automation solutions with external data sources such as SQL and SharePoint.
  • Experience developing and integrating with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow.
