Automation Service Engineer – The Role:

• Provide expert-level technical support for PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems across a variety of industrial sites
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system faults on-site
• Lead and support commissioning activities and system upgrades
• Contribute to full project life cycles – from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) through to installation and final handover
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota, supporting critical operations for key customers

Automation Service Engineer – The Person:

• HNC/Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent professional experience)
• Practical experience with multi‑vendor control systems – PLC & HMI are essential – with an ability to fault find and make small modifications – Siemens experience is key
• Solid understanding of low‑voltage electrical systems
• Familiarity with project execution, from design to commissioning
• Awareness of industrial cybersecurity and standards is an advantage
• A solution‑focused mindset and a proactive approach to troubleshooting
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
