Job summary

G-tem is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to operate and service fully automated mechanical transfer press machines in our UK facility. You will perform planned preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and carry out routine servicing and repairs to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities include inspecting machinery, working with contractors, assisting with installation of new equipment, maintaining tools and spares, and contributing to continuous improvement in maintenance standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify potential problems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance faults.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in a safe and organised condition.
• Follow health and safety procedures and ensure work complies with company policies.
• Work with contractors and external service providers when required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Report recurring faults and recommend improvements to prevent future breakdowns.
• Support continuous improvement and ensure maintenance standards are maintained.
