Syntech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join the engineering team in Aldershot. The role involves building and installing bespoke machinery on-site and internationally, with a focus on site reliability and uptime.

You will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on a range of plant equipment, support mechanical assembly, and help implement continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. A proactive, practical approach is essential.

Formación

• Strong hands-on mechanical background in manufacturing/engineering.
• Experience maintaining plant machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform effective repairs.
• Experience with production machinery or industrial equipment.
• Supervisory or team‑lead experience is desirable.
• Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive, hands-on attitude.
• Ability to manage varied workloads and work under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on machinery.
• Maintain and repair plant machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Work on lathes, milling machines, grinders, furnaces and lines.
• Assist with mechanical assembly and build of bespoke welding machines.
• Support installation and commissioning at customer sites globally when required.
• Own the site maintenance schedule and improve PPM systems.
• Maintain site infrastructure and ensure equipment is operational.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement for safety, efficiency and uptime.
• Collaborate with production and eng teams to prioritise workloads.
• Ensure all work adheres to health and safety standards.
