Proactive Global is seeking an experienced Service Technician / Maintenance Engineer to maintain automated material handling and conveyor systems in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role suits mechanically or electrically skilled engineers looking to advance in automation.

You will perform planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns and ensure equipment operates safely and reliably, with ongoing training and long-term career opportunities in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Maintenance Engineering.
• Experience as Service Technician or Maintenance Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with industrial machinery, automated systems or conveyors.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on automated conveyor and material handling systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on automated equipment.
• Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, rollers, bearings, drives, sensors and related machinery.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain performance.
• Assist with PLC fault finding, electrical diagnostics and control system troubleshooting.
