Job summary

MTrec Limited is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician for a permanent role in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will ensure safe working practices, perform planned maintenance, diagnose faults and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

You will assist with installation, commissioning and modification of equipment, liaise with production and contractors, and maintain spare parts stock. Training apprentices is included, with shifts days and nights.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Knowledge of safe systems of work (LOTO, permits, isolation procedures).
• Hands-on approach with problem solving; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working practices at all times.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance with focus on breakdown prevention.
• Diagnose faults and carry out reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of equipment.
• Coordinate with production, engineering and external contractors to resolve issues quickly.
• Identify and order spare parts; maintain stock at required levels.
• Conduct root cause analysis of breakdowns and implement prevention measures.
• Work as part of a maintenance team and communicate across departments, suppliers and contractors.
• Operate access platforms (scissor lifts, cherry pickers).
• Use PC to access information, emails and complete reports.
• Assist with training and mentoring of apprentices.
