Job summary

Infosec is seeking a Lab Infrastructure Engineer for an Ipswich-based, on-site contract. You will automate tests, build CPE test environments, and support broadband/home gateway product testing within Agile teams.

The role requires strong Python, Linux, Docker, and telecoms expertise, with experience in RF and wireless networking. 5 days on-site in Ipswich, 350/day, initial 6 months, with long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong Python experience.
• Linux administration knowledge.
• Docker and containerisation.
• Virtual machine environments.
• Git / GitLab.
• Agile and Scrum environments.
• Broadband technologies including FTTP, xDSL, IPv4/IPv6, PPP, Wi-Fi, UPnP, 4G / 5G.
• CPE / Home Gateway testing experience.
• RF fundamentals.
• Wireless networking expertise.
• Telecoms industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Developing Python-based automation test scripts.
• Building and improving CPE test environments.
• Supporting broadband and home gateway product testing.
• Working within Agile delivery teams.
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Using Git, GitLab and JIRA to support delivery.
