Job summary

Matchtech seeks an experienced Broadband Test Engineer for a 6-month contract in Ipswich, UK. The role focuses on fault investigation across Home Hubs, Wi‑Fi platforms and broadband customer equipment, with on-site presence 3 days per week.

You will analyze logs, captures and telemetry, work with firmware teams and suppliers, and verify fixes before live deployment. £350/day, hybrid work, Ipswich-based position.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex Home Hub/broadband issues.
• Strong packet capture and log analysis skills.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and Python scripting.

We're supporting a leading UK telecommunications organisation undergoing significant investment across its customer connectivity platform.

We're looking for an experienced Broadband Test Engineer to join a specialist engineering team responsible for investigating and resolving complex issues across Home Hubs, Wi-Fi platforms and broadband customer equipment.

This is a highly technical role focused on fault investigation, root cause analysis and defect resolution rather than traditional support.
