Job summary

Infosec is seeking an experienced Broadband Test Engineer in Ipswich with hybrid working. The role focuses on fault investigation and root cause analysis across Home Hubs, Wi-Fi platforms and broadband customer equipment. You’ll analyze logs, packets and telemetry, reproduce faults in labs and drive defects to resolution with firmware teams.

The position is a 6‑month contract at £350 per day, offering exposure to large-scale broadband platforms and a blend of onsite and remote work.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting Home Hub/gateway/broadband CPE.
• Strong TCP/IP and Wi‑Fi RF fundamentals.
• Proficient in packet captures, logs and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex customer-impacting technical issues.
• Reproduce faults in laboratory environments.

• Collaborate with firmware teams and suppliers.

We're looking for an experienced Broadband Test Engineer to join a specialist engineering team responsible for investigating and resolving complex issues across Home Hubs, Wi-Fi platforms and broadband customer equipment.

This is a highly technical role focused on fault investigation, root cause analysis and defect resolution rather than traditional support.
