Job summary

Reed is hiring an IT Automation Engineer to join their Watford technology team in a hybrid role. You will design, build and support automation solutions across cloud and on-prem environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure services and modern DevOps practices.

You will migrate legacy processes to Azure Runbooks, Logic Apps and Function Apps, integrate multiple business systems, and ensure security and governance are embedded in every automation project.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET Framework and .NET Core development.
• Strong SQL and data handling capabilities.
• Experience consuming and building REST APIs for integrations.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and automation pipelines.
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement automation improvements across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Design, develop, test, document and maintain automation solutions.
• Migrate legacy processes to Azure services (Runbooks, Logic Apps, Function Apps).
• Design and deliver system integrations to enable end-to-end automation.
• Ensure security, compliance and risk management in automation projects.
• Support incidents, changes and on-call requests as needed.
