Job summary

bet365 seeks an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to advance our network and infrastructure capabilities. This role sits at the crossroads of traditional infrastructure and software development, delivering vendor-agnostic automation solutions that scale across platforms.

You will contribute to AI-driven automation initiatives and design reusable services, operating within a hybrid work-from-home policy that bet365 offers to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
• Familiarity with load balancing, caching, and cloud-based services.
• Experience with automation and tooling platforms such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with change and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network automation to reduce manual effort.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code templates for consistent network configurations.
• Collaborate to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into scalable processes.
• Oversee automation projects from conception through deployment and support.
• Conduct pre-release and post-release testing to mitigate potential issues.
• Build and maintain an automation framework that supports self-service capabilities for internal customers.
• Document automation processes and maintain version control to ensure a reliable infrastructure.
• Research emerging technologies in network automation to propose initiatives that enhance capabilities.
• Support the technology stack used in our automation platforms through BAU and bug fix activities.
