Job summary

bet365 Group is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to advance our network and infrastructure capabilities. This full-time role integrates traditional infrastructure engineering with software development to deliver vendor-agnostic automation solutions, supported by a hybrid work-from-home policy.

The role focuses on building scalable automation platforms, managing IaC templates, and driving initiatives like AI-driven automation to transform infrastructure management.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Knowledge of network and security technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
• Familiarity with load balancing, caching, and cloud-based services.
• Experience with automation and tooling platforms such as Ansible, Jenkins, and GIT.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with change and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing network automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
• Developing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates to ensure consistent network configurations.
• Collaborating with teams to identify automation opportunities and translate complex requirements into scalable processes.
• Overseeing the lifecycle of automation projects from conception through to deployment and support.
• Conducting pre-release and post-release testing to identify and mitigate potential issues.
• Building and maintaining an automation framework that supports self-service capabilities for internal customers.
• Documenting automation processes and maintain version control to ensure a reliable infrastructure.
• Researching emerging technologies in network automation to propose initiatives that enhance our capabilities.
• Supporting the technology stack used in our automation platforms through BAU and bug fix activities.
