Job summary

bet365 is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to help us build the next generation of our network and infrastructure capabilities. The role sits at the intersection of traditional infrastructure engineering and software development, using a diverse technology stack to create vendor-agnostic automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewall configurations, and security.
• Experience with automation tooling like Ansible, Jenkins, Git.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with change and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network automation to reduce manual effort.
• Develop IaC templates to ensure consistent configurations.
• Collaborate to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements.
• Oversee lifecycle of automation projects from conception to deployment and support.
• Conduct pre-release and post-release testing to identify issues.
• Build and maintain an automation framework supporting self-service for internal customers.
• Document automation processes and maintain version control to ensure a reliable infrastructure.
• Research emerging technologies in network automation to propose initiatives that enhance capabilities.
• Support the technology stack used in automation platforms through BAU and bug fix activities.
