Job summary

Halfords are launching an Autocare Technician Level 2 apprenticeship across our service network. You will train in MOT, car servicing and repairs, developing hands-on skills across a range of vehicles.

As an apprentice, you will work with diagnostic equipment, complete inspections to exact checklists, and maintain accurate records. The programme covers Level 2 Autocare Technician and safe isolation certifications, with progression to Level 3.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Autocare Technician apprenticeship completed on programme.
• Level 2 safe isolation certification for electric/hybrid vehicles.
• Brand-specific certifications obtained during training.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to ensure correct functioning.
• Follow checklists to examine critical vehicle parts.
• Carry out bumper-to-bumper service and inspections.
• Maintain electronic systems including onboard entertainment.
• Complete legible paperwork for customers and centres.
• Keep a clean, tidy workspace.
