Job summary

Halfords is offering an Autocare Technician Standard (Level 2) apprenticeship across our network. You'll learn to diagnose faults, service and inspect vehicles while training with our mentors in a practical setting.

The programme combines virtual learning with face-to-face training at our dedicated centre, with all travel and accommodation costs covered. By completion you’ll gain Level 2 Autocare Technician and brand certifications to progress into the service department.

Qualifications

• A willingness to learn and develop practical automotive skills.
• Customer-friendly approach and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working.
• Following checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined.
• Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service, and inspection.
• Maintenance of electronic systems including on-board entertainment systems.
• Completion of legible and accurate paperwork for customers and centre records.
• Maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment.
