Job summary

Autism East Midlands is seeking casual relief Autism Support Workers to cover services across Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. You will support autistic people with engaging activities, promote independence and assist with personal care, while following care plans and safeguarding procedures.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided; the role offers varied shifts including mornings, afternoons and nights, with 24/7 support from the team.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding and GDPR.
• Ability to build positive relationships with service users and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and support for service users, promoting independence.
• Maintain cleanliness and IPC practices across the setting.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families and staff.
• Familiarise with Autism East Midlands systems and processes.
• Keep records up to date and confidential under GDPR.
• Support individuals with personal care and daily activities.
• Record incidents in reporting systems and follow care plans.
