Job summary

Autism Initiatives in Belfast is seeking Support Workers to join our team. You will work alongside autistic people, supporting in a range of activities, including developing independence in daily living, accessing work/education and leisure activities.

We offer comprehensive induction training, an employer pension scheme, enhanced sick pay and a wide range of benefits from day one. Interviews are in person at our head office; sponsorship for employment visas is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience supporting people with Autism or Learning disabilities.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of one year.
• Flexibility to work on a rota including unsocial hours and weekends.
• NISCC registered or apply to register on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities to build independence.
• Assist service users to access work, education, and leisure opportunities.
• Work alongside autistic people, providing person-centered support.
• Participate in induction training and ongoing learning.
