Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to support autistic pupils in a dedicated SEN school in Ward of Edgbaston. You will engage in 1:1 work, small-group interventions, and structured classroom support to help pupils follow routines, access learning, and engage more positively with the school day.

You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to monitor progress, build confidence, and support pupil wellbeing while developing practical SEN

Qualifications

• Degree – a 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Interest in pursuing education/clinical psychology.
• Desire to work in education with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for autistic pupils.
• Deliver small-group intervention sessions.
• Assist in structured classroom settings to support learning.
• Help pupils follow routines and access the curriculum.
• Support pupil confidence, communication, and engagement throughout the school day.
