Job summary

Winner Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a Central Birmingham SEN school. The role is part-time, Monday to Thursday, starting immediately on a long-term placement.

Ideal candidates have SEN experience, including work with KS4/KS5, and strong communication with diverse learners. Responsibilities include 1:1 support, assisting the class teacher, tailoring learning materials, and preparing pupil progress reports.

Qualifications

• Previous SEN experience, particularly Autism.
• Level 2/3 TA qualification; not essential.
• Used various communication methods.
• Strong understanding of Autism and Complex needs.

Winner Education are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN school based in the Central Birmingham area. This role will start immediately on a long-term placement and will be part time, Monday to Thursday. The successful applicant will have previous SEN experience, and experience in working with KS4 and 5 age groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with severe SEN requirements
• Assist the main class teacher in lesson preparation and delivering lessons
• Tailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learners
• Assist with pupil progress reports
• Liaise with outside agencies when required

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Previous SEN experience, particular Autism
• Strong resilience and patience
• A minimum Level 2/3 TA qualification, not essential
• Used various communication methods
• A strong understanding of Autism and Complex needs
