Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Primary SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton to support KS2 pupils with Autism, delivering structured 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils access learning and build independence.

You will work closely with the SENCO and class teachers, implement visual timetables, break tasks into steps, and run short interventions to promote communication, social skills and core learning. A 2:2 degree or above is required, with enhanced DBS preferred.

Qualifications

• Patient and empathetic with strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow support plans and maintain boundaries.
• Experience supporting children in SEN or learning support is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured 1:1 and small-group support to KS2 pupils with Autism.
• Implement visual timetables and break tasks into manageable steps.
• Run short interventions targeting communication, social skills and core learning.
• Record progress notes and share next steps with staff and parents.
