Job summary

GSL Education in Barnet is seeking an ASD Support Assistant to help pupils with Autism across EYFS–KS2. You will support learning, regulate emotions and foster confidence in a structured SEN environment, working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external specialists.

This role offers weekly pay and a supportive leadership team with strong SEN focus, providing excellent training and opportunities to develop in education, psychology or therapy pathways.

Qualifications

  • Hold strong A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications) and a BA degree.
  • Be patient, resilient and confident building relationships with pupils.
  • Support children both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Be passionate about SEN and inclusive education.
  • Have ambitions to progress within education, psychology or therapy-based careers.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Autism academically and pastorally throughout the school day.

Job description

Are you looking to build experience supporting children with Autism within a SEN school environment? This ASD Support Assistant opportunity in Barnet would suit a graduate or experienced support worker passionate about inclusive education and child development.

This ASD Support Assistant role involves supporting pupils with Autism both academically and pastorally throughout the school day. The successful ASD Support Assistant will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to help pupils access learning, regulate emotions and build confidence within the classroom environment.

The school has developed strong SEN throughout the school with clear routines, consistent behaviour systems and targeted intervention support across the primary phase. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive personalised support while maintaining high expectations around progress and engagement.

Weekly Pay | £500-£550 per week
