Job summary

Paget Primary School is seeking an exceptional teacher to join our ASC Resource Base and support pupils to achieve their potential. The role focuses on understanding autism and adapting teaching to meet individual needs within an inclusive school community.

You will work closely with teaching assistants and the SENDCo to ensure high-quality provision, engage with families, and contribute to EHCP processes as required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with autism or complex SEND is desirable.
• Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs and maintain high expectations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, appropriately challenging learning adapted to individual needs.
• Use a range of assessment approaches to monitor progress and inform planning.
• Contribute effectively to annual reviews and set meaningful outcomes for pupils.
• Support pupils’ communication, independence and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENDCo and external professionals to support pupils.
