Job summary

Blackhorse Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Resource Base team, supporting autistic pupils and pupils with social and communication difficulties. You will work Monday to Friday during term time, 32.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch break, contributing to an inclusive learning environment.

The role requires experience with primary pupils, motivation to help children progress, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged pupils in an educational setting.
• Clear understanding of how to motivate children and support progress.
• Ability to present information clearly, both orally and in writing, to maintain records and assess progress.
• Willingness to engage in further training and professional development.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support autistic pupils and pupils with social and communication difficulties in a Resource Base.
• Assist with learning activities, behaviour management and progress tracking.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate pupil progress with staff and parents as appropriate.
• Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team environment and participate in CPD.
