Job summary

Blackhorse Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the Resource Base team, supporting autistic pupils and those with social and communication difficulties. The role is 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, term time only including INSET days.

It is a permanent contract with a salary aligned to Grade 10 and experience in primary settings. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to promote progress, monitor pupil records, and engage in ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged pupils in an educational setting.
• A clear understanding of how to motivate children and support progress.
• Ability to present information clearly, both orally and in writing, to maintain records and assess progress.
• Willingness to engage in further training and professional development.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Join the Resource Base team to support autistic pupils and those with social and communication difficulties.
• Assist with learning activities and track pupil progress.
• Record observations and contribute to pupil assessments and progress reports.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to plan and deliver inclusive learning.
• Engage in CPD and professional development opportunities.
