Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting a patient and nurturing SEN Learning Partner for a specialist resource base in a North Bristol primary school. You will work with pupils who benefit from structured, individualised support to help them communicate and engage with learning.

The role involves ASD and communication needs support, using visual resources and routines, managing transitions, and fostering social interaction and emotional regulation.

Are you experienced in supporting children with autism, communication differences or sensory needs?

We are looking for a patient and nurturing SEN Learning Partner to join a specialist resource base within a primary school in North Bristol.

You will work closely with pupils who benefit from additional structure and individualised support to help them communicate, manage transitions, engage with learning and develop their independence.

Your role will include:

• Supporting children with ASD and communication needs
• Using visual resources, routines and clear communication strategies
• Helping pupils manage sensory needs and transitions
• Delivering individual and small-group learning activities
• Supporting social interaction, communication and emotional regulation
• Creating a predictable, reassuring learning environment

We'd love to hear from candidates with experience in SEN schools, resource bases, mainstream schools, nurseries or care settings.

You'll need to be patient, observant and adaptable, with an understanding that every child communicates and learns differently.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
