Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a Specialist SEN Teacher for an autism and SLD provision in Preston. This full-time, permanent role starts January 2027 with immediate assessment and trial days available.

You will deliver a differentiated curriculum, apply autism-friendly practices and support communication, independence and life skills to prepare pupils for adulthood.

Tradewind are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated full-time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a close-knit, collaborative team at a specialist autism school. This provision supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The learning environment is nurturing, highly structured, and personalised, with a strong focus on communication, independence, emotional regulation, and preparation for adulthood. Many of our pupils access learning through developmentally appropriate, play-based, and experiential approaches, making an Early Years or Primary education background ideal.
