Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking an Electrical Manager (approved person) on a fixed-term 12-month basis. The role is national and requires mobility across the UK, with a primary site-based focus and occasional remote working where needed.

You will lead LV/HV compliance, governance, and ensure adherence to statutory requirements, policies and best practice. The successful candidate will act as AE for LV/HV systems, manage competence, provide technical assurance, audit supply chains, and support

Qualifications

• Experience in a compliance-driven business support function.
• Experience managing hard FM and soft FM operations.
• Experience in developing and delivering effective stakeholder business plans.
• Experience fostering a positive industrial relations environment through proactive relationships.
• Experience sponsoring, embracing, and managing high-value and complex technical and business changes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Authorising Engineer (AE) for LV and HV systems on behalf of RME & PFSL, supporting the Duty Holder.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company policies and industry best practice.
• Manage the appointment and competence of Authorised and Competent Persons.
• Provide technical assurance, accreditation and training standards.
• Audit supply chain compliance and drive best practice and continuous improvement.
• Participate in the on-call rota.
