Job summary

Morson Group in London seeks a highly skilled HV/LV Authorised Person to manage safe operation, isolation and maintenance of HV/LV electrical systems across the London area. You will own fixed wire testing and PAT programmes, coordinate annual building shutdowns, and act as the primary technical expert for electrical matters.

The role requires strong leadership, BS 7671 and testing qualifications, and experience in coordinating contractors and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• HV/LV Authorised Person certification (11kV or 33kV) required.
• BS 7671 (18th Edition) qualified and current.
• City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection and Testing) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with HV/LV electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Issue and authorise Permits to Work (PTW) under BS 7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
• Perform safe isolation and switching operations on HV/LV systems.
• Plan and coordinate annual building shutdowns; manage contractor resources.
• Own and manage Fixed Wire Testing and PAT programmes; ensure compliance reporting.
