Job summary

Cooper Parry in the United Kingdom is offering an Audit Trainee role focused on delivering statutory audits for a varied client base. You’ll gain hands-on experience from day one and work toward ACA qualification over a structured three-to-four-year journey, supported by a dedicated Student Support Manager.

The role begins in September 2027 and is based in our Belfast or Dungannon office. We value growth, collaboration, and a balance of study with work as you develop technical auditing skills.

Qualifications

• Sharpened eye for detail and the ability to tell a story with numbers.
• Clear and confident communication with clients and colleagues.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments and works well with diverse people.
• Able to juggle multiple tasks and stay organised under pressure.
• Enthusiastic about Audit and working towards qualification.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information (invoices, statements, payroll).
• Assessing accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attending client year-end stock takes (may occur weekends/around Christmas).
• Communicating with client finance teams to understand systems and processes.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements using audit software.
• Working in small teams to perform tests and contribute to audit reports.
• Meeting deadlines and supporting the team to deliver high-quality work.
