Cooper Parry Reading is recruiting an Audit Trainee to kick-start your career with hands-on experience from day one, delivering statutory audits for a varied client mix. You’ll study for ACA while you work, supported by your team, managers, and Student Support Manager.

The role begins in September 2027 with Assessment Centres on 2 December and 17 March; you’ll review client information, test financial data, and contribute to audit reports in small teams, balancing studies with deadlines.

Qualifications

• Degree completed by start date and at least 3 A Levels (BBC) including one numerical or business subject.
• Interest in Audit and motivation to qualify as an ACA.
• Ability to juggle priorities while studying for a professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information such as invoices, bank statements and payroll reports.
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attending client year-end stocktakes (sometimes weekends or around Christmas).
• Speaking with client finance teams to understand systems and processes.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements using audit software.
• Working in small teams to carry out financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meeting deadlines and supporting the team to deliver high-quality work.
