Job summary

Cooper Parry is seeking an Audit Trainee to join the team and deliver statutory audits for a varied client base. The role starts in September 2027 and offers a pathway to ACA Chartered Accountant qualification with on-the-job learning and college courses.

You will work in a tight-knit group across the UK, with a focus on growth, development and hands-on experience from day one in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree study while working is supported and encouraged.
• Interest in how businesses and pension schemes operate.
• Strong numerical and analytical mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information (invoices, bank statements, payroll reports).
• Assessing accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attend client year-end stocktakes (sometimes on weekends or around Christmas).
• Communicate with client finance teams to understand systems and processes.
• Assist in preparing financial statements using audit software.
• Work in small teams to perform financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meet deadlines and support the team to deliver high-quality work.
