Job summary

Cooper Parry in Belfast is seeking ambitious graduates or school leavers to join as Audit Trainees, delivering statutory audits for a diverse client base from day one. The role starts in September 2027 and sits within our nationwide Audit teams, with opportunities to learn on the job while progressing towards ACA qualification.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and a genuine interest in how numbers tell a story
• Clear communication and confidence when engaging with clients and teammates
• Thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys working with different people
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and stay organized under pressure
• Enthusiastic about Audit and motivated to pursue ACA qualification

Responsibilities

• Reviewing client information and documents—invoices, bank statements, payroll reports
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data
• Attending client year-end stocktakes (sometimes on weekends or around Christmas)
• Speaking with client finance teams to understand their systems and processes
• Assisting in preparing financial statements using our audit software
• Working in small teams to carry out financial testing and contribute to audit reports
• Meeting deadlines and supporting your team to deliver high-quality work
