Job summary

Cooper Parry in Reading is seeking an Audit Trainee to kick‑start your career with hands‑on experience delivering statutory audits for a varied client base. You’ll learn on day one and be supported to develop the skills that matter as you work toward the ACA qualification. This role begins January 2027.

Interviews take place on 20 October at our London office. We’re looking for curious people who question why, understand how businesses work, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Degree completed by start date.
• 3 A Levels with BBC grades, one numerical or business-related subject.
• Interest in progressing through ACA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information such as invoices, bank statements and payroll reports.
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attending client year-end stock takes (some weekends around Christmas).
• Speaking with client finance teams to understand their systems and processes.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements using our audit software.
• Working in small teams to perform financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meeting deadlines and supporting the team to deliver high-quality work.
